Perpetual Geomatics is proud to be a Métis owned and operated company established in 2024 with the search of providing industry leading services, innovative solutions, and unmatched customer relations. Utilizing state of the art technology to provide the best product we can, while maintaining strong professional relationships with our clients is our specialty. We strive to establish higher standards for our field work, pioneer new deliverables for our clients, and create a unique workplace environment for our team.
The Logo
The infinity logo symbolizes our continuous efforts in providing solutions to our clients, exploring new and innovative ways to complete our workflow, and making our workplace a safe and exciting environment for whomever works with and around us. Our goal is to keep the passion for surveying alive and well, in hopes that our practices becomes industry standard for years to come.
More Than Infinity
The Metis people created the flag in 1816, it featured a white infinity sign on a blue background, the infinity symbol represents the mixing of two distinct cultures (European and First Nations), to create their own cultures and traditions. The infinity symbol also represents quantity without end, and in the case of the Metis people, symbolizes their faith that their culture will live on forever.
The red flag in Metis history has been flown for both hunting and battles. We choose to associate with the red flag more because we are constantly in search of ways to improve, and are willing to fight for what we believe is right for our clients, partners, and employees.
Our Team
Jared Groves - Director
Professional Background:
Jared is a 3rd generation surveyor with over a decade of field experience, primarily in major projects. His determination, and passion for surveying helped him overcome obstacles which led him to high pressure leadership roles at a young age. Being tasked with these roles gave Jared exposure and a deeper understanding on how the industry operates. Using his knowledge of surveying and experience in the industry, he created Perpetual Geomatics with the help of his partner and friend Nick Wride.
Jared's Goals for Perpetual:
To create a workplace unlike any other, being able to give his team members the tools they need to succeed and grow into the people they want to be.
Nick Wride - Director
Professional Background:
Nick brings 15+ years experience, and a wealth of industry knowledge to Perpetual. His experience in major projects is unmatched and excels at problem resolution. Throughout his career he has been highly depended on, and delivered on high profile projects. He was tasked with leadership roles at a young age, and quickly became a key asset on every project he was involved with. Being relied on so heavily early on in his career gave Nick the experience and skill set to achieve greatness and has proven this countless times throughout his career.
Nick's Goals for Perpetual:
Being able to give a voice to the workers in the field, allowing them to give more input on the day-to-day operations, and to set new precedents for industry standards for our clients.
Our Partnership
Jared and Nick met in 2020 on the Coastal GasLink Project. Where they both became heavily relied upon by the client, and were a pertinent part of the success for the project. After the project they remained in contact with each other, and quickly realized they led very similar career paths up to that point, and after a year of Jared being incorporated, great deliberation, and a will to do anything to reach their common goal, they decided to partner up. They wanted to create a unique workspace for their employees, and an unmatched service provided to their clients. So in February of 2024, Perpetual Geomatics was created with unique core values, high efficient work flows, and innovative technologies that will be utilized to better service their clients.

INNOVATION
At Perpetual, innovation is more than just using advanced technologies. We utilize these technologies to reinvent our services, without straying too far from conventional and industry standard procedures.
Procedural Innovation:
We've created high efficient and high performing procedures for our field crews to follow, that allow more data to be collected and less rework to be done.
Our procedures are also open for interpretation. We know our field staff is highly experienced and knows how to get their job done. That's why our procedures are open ended, to allow the job to get done (safely of course), this means our crews will never be handcuffed by procedures and can complete any task however they seem fit. This creates higher morale in our field crews, which in turn, creates better performance and interactions from our field crews.
Client Relation Innovation:

Our clients' satisfaction will always be our top priority. We strive to be a company you a can depend on for anything, and talk openly with. We believe that maintaining a close relationship with our clients, and keeping open communication, tougher conversations can become highly constructive and beneficial to both parties.

The technology we use is highly innovative, integrating photogrammetry, and 3D scanning with conventional survey gear.
The way we utilize our technology is what separates Perpetual from other survey outfits, and is where all three of our main points of innovation interconnect.
Utilizing our technology allows us to build our Procedures around it, creating a high efficiency workflow, that collects more data then ever before.
With all the data that gets collected, what we produce for our clients as a deliverable is near limitless. Allowing our Client Relations to grow stronger and our services to be more tailored to what your needs are.
FLEXIBILITY
Everything from scheduling to our deliverables, we strive to be as accommodating to our clients as possible. We understand that a lot of issues can arise during a project, our goal is to never interfere with your processes, and assist wherever we can.
Scheduling:
In our experience, major projects can tend to have abnormal schedules for construction, and deadlines. We are prepared for that, and can work with you to make any scheduling concerns you have easier. We plan to setup each job with highly capable and compatible crews that are experienced with these schedules.
We also understand work-life balance and emergencies can cause stressful work environments. Which is why we also plan on having an additional crew or two preemptively orientated for all projects we are a part of, for seamless rotations, and hot-swaps if need be.
We believe in being proactive, getting ahead of problems, and planning ahead. We try not to be reactive, "making it work" is great, but not sustainable for a long period of time, we plan on versatility and adaptability to help keep production moving forward.
Budget:
We never want our rates to be the reason you don't choose Perpetual to help your project succeed. We believe our rates are quite competitive and hope you do as well. With that being said, we know budgets can handcuff our clients, and we can work together to come up with a price that works for both parties. We truly want to assist where we can and will work hard to prove that helping our clients achieve their goals is our focus, whatever it takes.
Deliverables:
We know every company has different needs, and we want to be able to provide services to as many of them as possible. That's why we are well versed in many different disciplines in the field, and utilize different software and programs to give you full control over what we provide you as a deliverable. From preliminary profiles and scouting reports, progress reporting/tracking and final asbuilts, we can customize our deliverable packages to suit your needs project to project!
TRANSPARENCY
Open communication is key to the success of Perpetual. We encourage a safe and supportive environment for our crews to be able to open up and share ideas, concerns, solutions, and plans, without the fear of negative repercussions weighing on them.
We share the same culture with our clients, allowing allowing full transparency in the relationship helps build trust, and in turn a stronger partnership.
Internal Communication Practices:
Within Perpetual, our "open-door" policy is not only standard practice, it is strongly encouraged. With open communication inside our company it helps everyone understand any issues or stresses that our staff are undergoing, we can then work together to come up with a plan to alleviate those issues, and carry on with our workflow.
We're not shy about seeking out suggestions from our staff either. We hired them because they are experts in their respective fields, and encourage input from every single staff member. This helps promote teamwork, and growth, both personally, and as a company.

As for our clients, our communication practices are parallel to our internal. We encourage honesty and transparency throughout our relationship. In the same way we want our staff to feel like part of a team, we want our clients to feel like Perpetual is on their team, working towards the same goal.
